Presenting in 2008
Exceptional speakers and presenters find a new home among the faculty members at West Coast Green. Our faculty are unique in the dynamism they have in sharing their technical knowledge, on-the-ground expertise, and visionary wisdom. Their topics range from building science and public policy to technology and innovation.
We are deeply invested in our speaker faculty, our heroes, so we invest a good amount of time in giving back to them. We organize speaker training sessions, private roundtables with peers, networking events, and numerous other events that form the West Coast Green Faculty into a collaborative family.
In 2007, we welcomed over 300 speaker faculty into the conference program! The faculty presented more than 150 presentations and pre-conference workshops that reached over 12,000 people with incredible ability to affect change.
In 2008, we will have less than 100 speaker faculty positions - all of a, extremely sophisticated and demanding caliber. Most of the 2008 presentations will be of either a "keynote" scale, addressing hundreds of attendees, or require the faculty member to play more of a "facilitator" role than a "speaker" role. Facilitators will develop, design, and host intimate roundtable discussions amongst industry thought leaders.
In 2008, we are seeking select faculty members with the following skill sets:
- Dynamic facilitators who can evoke creativity, momentum, conversation, and forward movement from their session.
- Industry experts who can provide technologically advanced, engaging, and dynamic presentations that are crafted to speak to the level of the industry experts themselves.
- Also, West Coast Green does not sell presentation opportunities, or include presentations that are about a proprietary product, company or service.
- Although we are not holding a formal call for abstracts this year, but we would still love to hear from you if you have either the personal qualities, or a specific presentation that would fit within the above outlined needs of our company.
